Reigniting the Blog

I owe you all an apology. When I trucked off to London back in February, I told everyone that I would post about my adventures on this blog. Five months later, this blog has remained dark.

The main reason has simply been for lack of time. However, it’s also been a very difficult year for me personally, and I’ve struggled with how to write about it in a way that I felt comfortable sharing in public.

Ultimately, the purpose of this blog is to talk about my writing, my thoughts on creativity, and to talk about my travels, not a place for me to air my personal problems.

And in fact, there’s a lot of news to share. I finished a draft of a new novel (now five months ago). I’ve attended creativity workshops, handled antiquities, heard professional storytellers, fed squirrels out of my hand, joined a reggae choir, walked from Canterbury to Dover, visited Edinburgh and Bordeaux, and more.

So look for me to begin sharing some words and photos again. Maybe not as quickly as I might hope, but I am not going to hide any longer.
